The best family-friendly Halloween attractions for kids this year in the UK

HALLOWEEN is just around the corner, with the annual tradition becoming more popular in the UK.

And lots of UK attractions have announced how they will be celebrating this year.

There are lots of cheap Halloween stays around the country from £8pp a night.

But if you fancy a day out with the kids, here are the best UK events that are perfect for all the family – even the young ‘uns.

Legoland

Legoland’s Brick or Treat is back this year, with lots of activities for kids.

This includes the 4D Movie The Great Monster Chase film, as well as the Haunted House Monster Party.

And Monster Street will need to find the Creepy Crypts for treats and prixes.

Kids will be able to have their pics taken between the big Lego pumpkins as well as meet the Halloween characters including Monster Rocker, Wolf Guy, Tiger Woman, Zombie Cheerleader and Square Foot.

Tickets start from £34, or you can upgrade to a short break for £57pp.

if you can’t make it to Windsor, head to the Legoland Discovery Centres in Birmingham and Manchester which are also having their own Halloween parties.

Drayton Manor

While Drayton Manor has Halloween evenings that might be too scary for kids, there are some day events too.

This includes the Hay Bale Trail where kids can win a treat, as well as Rory’s Boo Bash live show at the main stage.

Thomas Land will have spooky shows and Trick or Treat with Sir Topham Hat.

The events will run from October 6 to November 5, with tickets for the park from £15.

Chessington

Chessington also has some great day activities for kids this Halloween running from October 7-30.

This includes games with the Witch from Room on the Broom where kids can practice magic spells.

And live shows will take place on the Mini Stage Howl’o’ween’s werewolves Wilf and Violet and the friendly Vampire Bat.

Day tickets start from £37.

Hobbledown Heath

Running from October 21-29, Hobbledown Heath is launching their Hobble’ween events.

This includes a Build a Bat Workshop as well as Ghost Hunter Laser Tak and Spooky Slime Workshops.

There will even be a Monster Ball with treats and music, where kids can find hidden pumpkins.

Ticket prices are yet to be announced.

Wookey Hole

Wookey Hole’s Halloween event will let kids have Magic and Mahem lessons, where they can learn the mystical arts with a certificate at the end.

There is even a Halloween show, fancy dress competition and Giant Pumpkin Trail.

And the golf course has also been given a Halloween update with the Spooky Golf perfect for all ages.

The event will run from October 21-29, with tickets from £17.95.

Bewilderwood

Both Bewilderwood parks will have their BeWILDerbats event this year.

This includes face painting, live stories, character meets and crafts where kids can create a giant glowing lantern.

These will run from September 30 to October 31 with day tickets from £19.50.

And from October 14-31, there will also be the Glowing Lantern Parade, with tickets from £12.50.

London Dungeon

The London Dungeon has a brand new Halloween show this year, The Exorcism of Peter Moore.

Running from October 13 to November 4, kids will get a fright coming face to face with a haunted spirit.

There are 16 other shows and rides too during the Halloween season.

Tickets start from £23.50.
