A group of experts at BPP University Law School have revealed the seven items that passengers can’t bring onto a plane.
Drones
In recent years, drones have become popular pieces of equipment for tourists to use to capture their holiday memories.
While most passengers might think it’s a good idea to pack a drone in the hold luggage, this is actually a big no-no.
Most drones contain lithium batteries, which need to be placed in a carry-on suitcase.
This is because cabin crew members can intervene if something goes wrong with the batteries in the air.
Hair dye
Most travellers will have done their hair before going on holiday, but some may be thinking about packing hair dye in their suitcase for a makeover when they land.
But if you’re after a touch-up, you won’t be able to bring your own hair dye.
This is because it contains a chemical peroxide, and toxic substances aren’t permitted in carry-on bags – so it’s likely to be confiscated.
Badminton racket
Lots of travelers like to bring their own sports equipment when they’re flying, but items like badminton rackets are too long to fit into carry-on luggage limitations.
Holidaymakers who do want their own racker will need to check it into their hold luggage.
Tent pegs
Anyone who is going to a music festival abroad this summer will do best to keep their tent pegs at home.
It’s against the law to carry tent pegs or poles in your hand luggage, so you might want to consider buying equipment when you land or checking in hold luggage.
Tools
Tools such as drills, saws, and hammers are considered dangerous and a risk to passenger safety, so these can’t be checked into a carry-on bag.
If you do fancy doing a spot of DIY, you’ll have to pay to place these items into the hold.
Pies
It can be quite confusing knowing what foods aren’t allowed through airport security.
And pies are one item that will be confiscated because they often contain a sauce like gravy.
We’ve revealed the strangest things which are banned from the cabin, which includes a corkscrew.
These are the weirdest items you can bring onto a plane.
