I’d recommend thinking about fabrics, like wool, linen, leather, or velvet, that are traditionally more durable, and bonus points if there’s an option for some kind of performance fabric, which will generally withstand more wear and tear. Generally speaking, if a sofa is on the firmer side, it’s less prone to sagging, and if there’s any kind of memory foam in the sofa, that’s a good sign that it will last.
