AMERICAN car brand Rivian are ready to enter the European market with a host of EVs coming to a dealership near you.
Fans have already been left amazed by a number of smart features that come with the range – including a hidden accessory that pops out of the door.

The EV start-up is set to launch three strikingly stylish motors – including the much-anticipated R2 model.
The mid-size fully-electric SUV has been earmarked for release in the US for the first half of 2026, with international sales set to follow shortly after.
The R2 will be a five-seater that offers an open-air cabin primed for passenger space and storage capacity – and is roughly the same size as the Tesla Model Y.
In fact, according to Autocar, Rivan’s crossover trio has “set Tesla in its sights”, as many see the brand as a rival for Elon Musk‘s all-conquering car-marker.
Fans have already been given a sneak peek of the R2’s features and interior via SupercarBlondie‘s TikTok page.
There, enthusiasts got to see the car’s intergrated dials on the steering wheel, the gorgeous wood panelling around the dash-area and even a hidden flashlight – or torch – that pops out of the inside part of the door.
This secret feature, while somewhat basic, certainly caught the eye of commenters on TikTok.
One, perhaps ironically, wrote: “The flashlight convinced me, I will buy it.”
Another said: “I would not buy without the flashlight.”
And a third wrote: “Rolls-Royce puts an umbrella in the door and Rivian gives you a flashlight.”
Fans were also treated to some of the R2’s clever storage features which includes a ‘frunk’ – which is a large trunk at the front of the car.
The SupercarBlondie influencer said: “Because it’s all-electric, we have a frunk – so you have tons of room for backpacks, baggage, laptops, whatever you may need.”
Rivian have already released two models in the US with the R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV.
The upcoming R2 will be joined by the R3 and R3X – an off-road-focused performance crossover.
The R2 model will boast more than 300 miles of range and will be smaller than the R1T and R1S models, and will be be able hit 60mph in less than three seconds.
