TESCO’s website and app is down leaving shoppers unable to access their accounts and amend orders.
Shoppers have claimed that they have been unable to process online orders from around 2.30pm.

By 3.25pm, the number of reported outages with the app and website soared past 669, according to Downdetector.
Customers have complained that when they go to amend an online order they’re greeted by an error page.
One unhappy shopper posted on Twitter and said: “@Tesco your website is down showing error 500 and won’t let me add to my grocery order.
“The rest of the website works it’s just when you try and edit the basket.
“My order is due tomorrow do you know when this will be fixed?”
Another said: “@Tesco Is your website down? Trying to amend my order but I keep getting error messages.”
“So @Tesco are having a nightmare with their technology AGAIN. Can’t make changes to my order.
“If it’s not them cancelling my order with no notice, it’s their self-scanners breaking down or their website and app not working,” said a third shopper.
Tesco has responded to customer concerns on Twitter and a member of its social media team said: “We’re having a few technical issues at the moment but our IT team are on top of them and they’ll hopefully be sorted soon.
“I’d maybe leave it an hour or so then try again.”
We’ve contacted Tesco to find out what has happened and will update the story once we’ve heard back.
The outage comes only days after customers were left furious after the supermarket cancelled orders due to a technical glitch.
Some customers reported on Twitter having their orders cancelled last minute.
Others said theirs were axed and new delivery slots weren’t available until the weekend.
But the supermarket’s app and website last went down in September 2022 when hundreds of customers were left unable to amend their online orders.
Can you claim compensation for outages?
There’s no fixed compensation scheme for supermarket website outages like there is for other industries such as telecoms.
But if being unable to access your account has left you out of pocket for any reason, it’s worth contacting Tesco.
You should gather evidence, for example a delivery receipt, and get in touch with Tesco’s customer service team.
For online grocery order issues you can ring 0800 323 4040 which is free to call from landlines and mobiles.
Tesco shoppers have been warned against relying on Clubcard prices as well.
And the company announced a big change to its tills across a number of stores.
