TESCO is shaking up its meal deals with the launch of a new sandwich range at 170 stores.
The supermarket is taking on pricier rival Pret with it’s own fresh baguettes.

The handmade lunchtime eat which come with five different fillings is part of Tesco’s “Premium” meal deal.
As well as the new baguette, hungry diners can get a drink and snack for £5 with a Clubcard, or £5.50 without.
Lunchtime favourite Pret was recently slammed by customers over the cost of its baguettes.
At £7.15 it was dubbed “Britain’s worst-value baguette”.
The posh cheddar and pickle product was spotted at a London Tube station outlet at High Street Kensington.
The high price was to eat in while the takeaway cost was £5.95.
Pret customers can get the lunch for £1.50 less with a Club Pret membership, which costs £30 a month.
Tesco’s new meal deal comes in up to £2.15 cheaper than pricey Pret and you get a drink and snack too.

Violaine Barthe, Tesco’s brand manager said: “We know our customers like the occasional lunchtime treat and our new range of baguettes with five delicious fillings give them the perfect excuse to do so.”
“And with a main, snack and drink in our Premium meal deal costing just £5 for Clubcard members, treating yourself at lunchtime doesn’t have to break the bank.”

You can find your nearest store using the store locator tool on the Tesco website, just enter your postcode.
The premium meal deal first launched earlier this year and includes main choices from other brands like Yo Sushi and Itsu, as well as Tesco’s finest range.
The standard Tesco meal deal is £3.90, or £3.40 with a Clubcard.
You can sign up to a Clubcard for free online by setting up an account.
You’ll just need a few details like your name, address and email.
Once you’ve got one, you can collect points on everything from groceries to fuel.
You get one point for every £1 spent – or one point for every two litres of fuel – and 150 points is equivalent to a £1.50 voucher.
You can then get money off your spend, or swap them for rewards like meals out or theme park tickets and get double the value.
The card also gives access to cheaper prices in store, compared to shopping without one.
But, these prices aren’t always the cheapest overall – we found that ignoring these promotions could save you hundreds of pounds a year.
We tested all the supermarket meal deals to find out which is best – and one chain was hands down the most generous.
