TESCO’S app has gone down leaving shoppers unable to use their Clubcard.
Shoppers are complaining that they’re having to pay higher prices at Tesco checkouts after being left unable to access their loyalty card.

The number of reported outages has soared above 700, according to Downdetector.
Almost half of the complaints are about the Tesco app.
Customers are saying that when they go to open the app, they’re greeted with an error page.
Many shoppers rely on their app to get Clubcard prices in store, rather than carrying a physical card.
This means that some shoppers could be left paying more at the checkout.
One shopper posting on Twitter said: “Have had to abandon my whole shop and go to Aldi as your app is down and non Clubcard prices are extortionate!”
While another added: said: “Trying to login to the new app that I had to download because of the Clubcard app closing down.
“Kept getting this then eventually go through so clicked forgot password and I can’t get passed this, is there an issue?”
And a third fumed: “Tesco your Clubcard has gone down and is causing havoc at the local Tesco! Sort it out!”
Replying to shoppers on Twitter, Tesco said: “We are currently experiencing technical issues which is affecting a number of our systems at the moment, including the app.
“Our IT teams are working to have this resolved as soon as possible.”
The Sun has contacted Tesco for comment.
It comes as Tesco announced it is making two huge changes to its Clubcard.
From Tuesday, April 18, shoppers will no longer be able to use the Clubcard app.
Customers will need to download a new app – the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app – in order to keep earning points.
The supermarket chain is also reducing the value of Clubcard vouchers spent with reward partners.
At the moment, customers can exchange and triple the value of these vouchers at various reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi.
But from June 14, Clubcard vouchers will only be worth double their value if exchanged at any of Tesco’s 100 reward partners.
This is the second time in just over two weeks that Tesco’s app has gone down.
Hundreds of shoppers were left unable to access their accounts and amend orders.
It came just days after customers were left furious after the supermarket cancelled orders due to a technical glitch.
Some customers reported on Twitter having their orders cancelled last minute.
Can you claim compensation for outages?
There’s no fixed compensation scheme for supermarket website outages like there is for other industries such as telecoms.
But if being unable to access your account has left you out of pocket for any reason, it’s worth contacting Tesco.
You should gather evidence, for example a delivery receipt, and get in touch with Tesco’s customer service team.

Tesco shoppers have been warned against relying on Clubcard prices as well.
And the company announced a big change to its tills across a number of stores.
