It’s Taylor Swift‘s world, and we’re all just living in it –– especially this week.
Hot on the heels of the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the 33-year-old pop star paused her Eras Tour mid-concert to premiere a brand new music video for I Can See You, a vault track from the album.
Before hitting play on the video for the crowd, Swift said she came up with the idea for it a year and a half ago, and the concept is based on the notion of her and her fans wanting to reclaim her masters.

The video features Joey King and Taylor Lautner breaking into a museum and freeing a young-looking Taylor Swift – dressed in an outfit from the 2011 Speak Now tour – from a glass case.

Fans were particularly excited to see Lautner’s appearance, as he and Swift dated in 2009, and is rumoured to have inspired the Speak Now track Back To December.
After the video played, Swift brought both stars out on stage to celebrate with her. Welcoming her ex-boyfriend to the stage, she had nothing but nice things to say.

“He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album,” she said of Lautner.
“He and his wife have become some of my close friends, which is really convenient because we all have the same name.”
Taylor Lautner married his wife, Taylor Dome, in 2021.
When Lautner took the microphone from the singer, he showered her with praise.
“I respect you so much, not for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer, but truly for the human you are,” he said.

Over the sound of fans screaming, he added: “You are gracious, you’re humble, you are kind and I’m honoured to know you. Thank you for having me be a part of this.”
Joey King also joined the Taylors on stage, and was overcome with emotion at being involved in the special moment.
This isn’t actually the first time King has appeared in a Swift video. Back in 2010, as a young girl, she featured in the music video for the Speak Now track Mean.
Multiple times throughout the concert, Swift labelled the evening as the official Speak Now (TV) release party. Her nails were painted in purple for the occasion, and she even performed Long Live while playing an iconic Koi fish-decorated guitar that hasn’t been used since the original Speak Now tour.

She also performed two acoustic songs from the Speak Now album: Never Grow Up and When Emma Falls In Love.
