Defending was almost non-existent as United raced back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 in the final seconds after a double from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes’ header.

But an outrageous late collapse saw Cole Palmer net a 100th-minute penalty to level it.

Before the England hopeful sent Stamford Bridge bananas with a stunning winner to seal his hat-trick a minute later after United switched off from a corner.

And it just so happened to be at the precise moment that United legend Ronaldo posted a photo of himself and captioned it: “Happy days” with a green heart emoji.

Fans immediately noticed the timing of the tweet and claimed it was not a coincidence.

One said: “Love the timing GOAT.”

Another added: “My GOAT mocking Ten Hag.”

A third then put: “Love the timing idolo, cook Ten Hag.”

Ronaldo left Old Trafford in November 2022 after he publicly criticised the club in a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

The Portuguese sensation accused Ten Hag and United chiefs of forcing him out of the club and said he felt “betrayed” by the Dutchman.

The 39-year-old joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr after his Manchester exit and has become a figurehead in the Middle East.

On Saturday Ronaldo socred a hat-trick in Al Nassr’s 5-1 victory against Al Taee making it 26 in 23 games this since.
