A MAJOR supermarket is giving drivers 5p off a litre of fuel – but you’ll need to be quick.
Shoppers at Morrisons can save money on fuel this month.
Morrisons is giving away coupons to drivers to get 5p off a litre of fuel
Customers who spend £35 in store and online will receive a coupon giving them 5p off every litre of fuel purchased.
The offer starts on Thursday, May 11 and finishes on Sunday, May 23.
The offer is available to customers who shop online and in-store including those using the delivery and click & collect service.
If you pay in store, you’ll be given the coupon but if you’ve ordered online, it’ll be emailed to you within three to five days of the order.
Those who meet the criteria will receive a coupon to spend at any Morrisons petrol station but not at franchised Morrisons Daily petrol stations.
But shoppers will have until Monday May 29 to spend it so you must be quick.
The exact amount that Morrisons charges for its fuel will vary by location so do check yours before you fill up.
You can find your nearest filling station by using the locator tool on its website.
You can’t spend £35 using a voucher or gift card.
You also won’t qualify for the coupon if your £35 spend includes:

Rachel Eyre, chief customer & marketing officer at Morrisons, said: “We are continuing to prioritise helping our customers by lowering the cost of essential purchases like fuel.
“This is our fourth offer on fuel this year alongside numerous price cuts on food, demonstrating our long-term commitment to reducing our customers’ household bills.”
This now the fourth time Morrisons is offering drivers 5p off a litre of fuel.
For 10 days in April, shoppers had the chance to get a coupon if they spend £35 in store and via click & collect.
How to check fuel prices near me
The easiest way to find the cheapest forecourt in your area for fuel is by using price comparison sites.
Websites like Petrolprices.com will list the cheapest filling stations in your area.
You need to register with the site, enter your postcode and tell it how far you’re willing to travel for fuel (up to 20 miles) and what fuel type you’re after.
There are other websites you can use too.
Fleet News and Allstar also let you check petrol prices across the counties so you can see how your region compares to the UK average.
Comparison website Confused.com also has a petrol prices checker that lets registered users find petrol prices within a five, ten or 25 mile radius.
Petrolprices.com is useful, but it does only give you limited amounts of searches each day, whereas Confused.com doesn’t.
How can I save on my supermarket shop?
There are many ways you can cut costs on your groceries.
Firstly, take advantage of supermarket schemes as the majority offer them and it’s an easy way to earn points and save cash.
We’ve got some great tips on how to make the most of the loyalty schemes you’re signed up to here.
Keep an eye out for offers too.
There are cheap food clubs run by local community groups or charities floating around.
They’re different to food banks because you don’t need to be referred by anyone to join one.
These clubs link up with local supermarkets, who donate food nearing their sell-by date.
They are usually run from public places, such as church halls.
There are also food waste apps to make use of.
