Sophie Monk has shared her support for the “legends” of the Matildas in a hilarious video showing off some questionable football skills.
Ahead of the Aussie team’s semi-final match against England in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Love Island Australia hosttook to her Instagram to cheer on the team.
“Anyone else thinking they’re a soccer expert right now? So proud of you @matildas,” she captioned the clip filmed by her husband, Joshua Gross.

“I’m available if you need an understudy at the Paris Olympics. You’re legends ladies,” she added.
In the video, Monk is seen attempting to bounce the ball with her knees and feet. Unsuccessfully.
She then attempts a header that sees the ball fly straight back into her face. Not to mention she’s trying all of this in tiny denim shorts and a bright yellow bikini.

Her followers couldn’t help but have a laugh.
“Ha ha look out Mackenzie Arnold will be soon un-employed if you keep this up Sophie,” one person commented.
“I honestly can’t stop laughing. Sorry (not sorry) you’re so funny Sophie,” another wrote.

QUIZ: Which Matildas player are you most like?
Matildas mania has indeed been sweeping the country (indeed the world) over the past few weeks.
And it turns out Hollywood star Russell Crowe was an early fan.
Thea Slatyer, who played with the team from 2002 until 2012, was walking down the street in Sydney when she was 23 and in between competitions, when she was “approached on the street by a man wearing a hat and sunglasses.”
“I realised I was hearing the Gladiator’s voice but it didn’t click until he asked how the team was doing,” Slatyer recalls in the book The Matilda Effect.
“It was Russell Crowe, just casually recognising me in the street instead of the other way around.”
