Joe Manganiello has officially filed for divorce from Sofía Vergara two days on from the couple’s announcement they would be splitting.
In court filings and documents obtained by People, the Magic Mike actor, 46, has reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for divorce.
According to the documents, the date of the couple’s divorce is listed as July 2 and Manganiello cited there is a prenuptial agreement in place.

A source had previously revealed that in light of the couple’s divorce, the Modern Family actress, 51, and Manganiello had different personal interests and ideas of fame.
The source said the pair “differ immensely in style and what they like to do, although during the marriage, each tried to put the other’s interests ahead of their own to make it work.”
This comes after news broke earlier this week that Vergara and Manganiello had gone their separate ways after seven years of marriage.

The couple announced their impending divorce through a joint statement shared to Page Six.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple’s statement read. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
At the time of the announcement, Vergara was spending her 51st birthday in Italy – noticeably without Manganiello or her wedding ring.

Though the actor was not present for his wife’s birthday celebrations, he did take to Instagram to share a celebratory tribute.
“¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” Manganiello wrote alongside a pixelated image of Vergara.
Many in the comment section took this as a sign that the couple were headed for divorce.
“Something is off,” one fan speculated. “What was that..???” another queried.
Vergara and Manganiello married back in November 2015. The pair became engaged a year earlier after dating for just six months.
