Sky TV owners are just realising there’s a FREE upgrade on their box right now

SKY TV has finally hauled in a long-awaited feature which will let users create their own profiles.

It brings Sky in line with streaming competitors like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+.

The highlight anticipated feature is being rolled out on Sky Glass and Sky Stream in the latest update, having been postponed last month.

Initially, the update was scheduled for February 4, but was delayed.

Sky users will soon be able to create personalised playlists, which will include separate profiles, as well as a new ‘play’ voice command.

The update, Entertainment OS 1.1, is rolling out to devices this week.

The new software will also include a fresh cast and crew rail for TV shows and movies.

However, the update is still missing for Sky Q customers.

How do I know if I have the update already?

To see if you have the version of Sky, simply open up the app on your device and see whether the ‘create playlist’ option is available to you.

If it’s not, head to System Settings and check which software version you have.

Next to System Info, it should say Entertainment OS 1.1 if you have the latest update.

For Sky Glass and Sky Stream users, the update should land on devices automatically.

Although, a ‘soft’ reset is said to speed things up.
