How to save money in Asda
Sign up for Asda Rewards – The Asda rewards loyalty is scheme is similar to Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury’s Nectar card, but instead of points, the scheme gives you cashback. The cashback you earn is paid into a “Cashpot” and used by converting your earnings into vouchers.
Buy Star Products – Asda usually has several “star products” on offer which will give you a percentage back, or have the price fixed at a certain rate so it’s worth checking those out.
Complete Missions – Missions are another way to earn cashback. Milestone missions allow shoppers to collect money in their cashpots. They are usually on cumulative spending over a set period, such as shopping five times in one week or spending £50 in a month
Don’t forget to use your reward vouchers – Money in your Asda Rewards Cashpot lasts six months, and can be changed to vouchers in multiples of £1. But you only have 90 days after the vouchers are issued to use them.
Check Asda Reward coupons – Asda also does reward coupons which are separate from Star Products and Missions. You’ll find these in your wallet tab on the Asda app and will need to scan the barcode you’re given in-store.
Shop Asda Own-label – Just Essentials by Asda is their value range and is easy to find on shelves with its bright yellow packaging. The items should be cheaper than branded labels.
Shop in the evening for yellow stickers. – Like other supermarkets, Asda has yellow sticker labels to indicate an item is reduced. You are more likely to find these products in the evening.
Find ‘Price Locked’ products – Asda has locked prices on many everyday items and promises to keep the price locked. Keep an eye out near the end of the year as that’s is when the price lock on products changes.
