The footage was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by the Dulwich Wood School Street, a campaign group of parents wanting safer roads around the school.
In a post on October 3, the group said: “Er, when did this become the norm?”
It added: “This is illegal surely?
The group said in a response from an online commentator that they had reported the incident.
One social media user wrote: “Horrific selfish behaviour.
Another added: “This beggars belief.”
A third said: “Wow hope they get a fine for driving in the pavement.”
In the footage, the grey car appears to pass close to the person filming as it went down the road.
It is not entirely clear but the driver seems to be trying to beat the morning school traffic.
The Sun Online has approached the Met Police for comment.
Earlier this year, cops shamed drivers who “park badly but don’t care” as they shared pictures of cars dumped on pavements.
