Veteran actress Gayle Hunnicutt has died, aged 80.
The Sherlock Holmes alum died on August 31 but a cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Hunnicutt’s career started when she was young, the star scouted by Warner Brothers and performing in her first TV show by the age of 23.
After starring in the comedy, Mister Roberts, she moved into film, landing a role in Wild Angels kicking off the start of a very lengthy career.

Hunnicutt was Texas born but moved out to the UK after marrying fellow actor David Hemmings in 1968.
This is when her career truly skyrocketed, the star featuring in TV series such as Fall of Eagles, The Golden Bowl the Return of the Saint and Dallas.
She is best remembered for the role she played in the final three seasons of Dallas, from 1989 to 1991.
In the show, Hunnicutt depicted Vanessa Beaumont, an English aristocrat who has a son as a result of an affair with JR Ewing without his knowledge.
The star is also remembered for her role as Irene Adler in the first episode of the first season of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Despite her career taking off, her personal life wasn’t running as smoothly. Early into her marriage Hemmings partook in a public affair with actress Samantha
The pair had one son, Nolan prior to their 1975 divorce.
Hunnicutt went on to marry journalist Simon Jenkins three years later and had another son named Edward. The couple remained together until 2009, when they also divorced.
She made an episode of Selling London for her sale of the Primrose Hill estate that the pair had lived in for three decades.

After her second divorce, she dated Richard Evans, a tennis correspondent.
Opening up about her new romance to the UK Telegraph, the star admitted that her connection with Evans was a rekindled one.
“I am spending quite a lot of time with this lovely man in Florida,” she told the outlet in 2010. “It is lovely being with someone who knows you so well and understands you.”
“We first met in 1975 and were together for two and a half years,” she continued. “As he is in the tennis world, he travels constantly.”

She added: “I had a career and a child to raise, so I couldn’t always be travelling around the world and we never married.”
The star also authored two books in her time and despite her last time on screen being in 1999, the star was still much loved by fans.
”Gutted that Gayle Hunnicutt has died,” an admirer wrote in a post on X.
“Very sorry to hear of the death of Gayle Hunnicutt,” another fan added.
Hunnicutt is survived by her two children: Nolan Hemmings and Edward Jenkins, and five grandchildren: Poppy, Theo, Oscar, Dash and Nia.
