Shannen Doherty claims she found out third husband had ‘cheated on her for two years’ just before brain surgery

Actress Shannen Doherty has claimed she found out her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko, had “cheated on her for two years” just before getting brain surgery.

The Charmed star, 52, who has terminal cancer, made the allegations on her Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty podcast this week.

Doherty said she was fearful she “wasn’t going to make it” through the surgery and said she “felt so betrayed” by Iswarienko’s alleged actions.

“I didn’t think I was going to make it [through the surgery]… I thought I was going to lose the ability to walk or talk,” she said.

“I went in after I found out that my marriage was essentially over, that my husband had been carrying on an affair for two years.

“To not go in that surgery, even though, being very clear, he wanted to go, I couldn’t go into that surgery with him there. I felt so betrayed.

“At the end of the day, I just felt so incredibly unloved by someone I was with for 14 years, by someone I loved with all my heart.”

Doherty said she relied on her family, including her mother and brother and friends, to get her through the surgery, which “petrified” her.

Doherty had the surgery in January this year. According to People, it was the same month she and Iswarienko separated.

“If you share 14 years together and you cheated, doesn’t that person deserve the absolute truth regardless of how much that hurts them?” she added.

Doherty was previously married to Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003, and Ashley Hamilton from 1993 – 1994.

She married Iswarienko in 2011.

The actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 that went into remission two years later.

In 2020, Doherty announced the cancer had returned, spread and was now stage IV.
