POGUES legend Shane MacGowan’s wife has given fans an update after he was rushed to hospital.
Victoria May Clarke yesterday asked for “prayers and healing vibes” for the singer saying he was “in hospital again”.

The 64-year-old has faced health problems in recent years, including a broken pelvis, and was seen using a wheelchair in a recent public appearance.
Today, Victoria told followers on Twitter that he is being treated for an infection.
She added that his diagnosis seemed positive saying she was “grateful” to everyone who sent their good wishes.
Victoria tweeted: “I just wanted to thank everyone who has been sending good wishes for @ShaneMacGowan.
“He is being treated for an infection and the doctors are confident that he will be ok.
“I am just incredibly grateful to them and to all of you .”
One follower replied: “That’s so good to hear, thank you for keeping us posted. We’ll keep sending him the good wishes, you’ll keep being his strength.”
Shane rose to fame as a founding member of punk band The Pogues, who still best-known today for Christmas song Fairytale of New York.
It has has sold close to 1.5 million copies and in the UK it is the most-played Christmas song of the 21st century.
In 2020, The Pogues backed the BBC’s decision to edit offensive lyrics from the track.
