Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith has revealed she almost died after a spine infection left her hospitalised and in a world of pain.
The reality star, 46, spoke candidly about her health battle to People this week, which left her hospitalised for a month back in May.
Smith said she was diagnosed with vertebral osteomyelitis, a life-threatening bone infection in her back, and was ”two days from death” before she finally saw doctors.

Smith said her doctor told her: “One or two more days at home and you could have been dead.”
She credited doctors and a friend for “saving her life” and said: “I thought I had a backache, and I almost died.”
Smith said she was rushed to hospital and had two surgeries and had a titanium mesh cage, screws and rods inserted in her back to help her spine.

She reflected on her health battle and said she wouldn’t be taking things “for granted” again.
“Its like a rebirth. I will never take my mobility for granted again. When I can walk and jog again and do Pilates or ballet, I hope I stick to them because I plan on living to be 107,” she said.
She previously posted on Instagram: “Life is a journey. This is just another part of my very colourful story and I’m going to use it to inspire others to keep pushing through!”

She added: “Thanking you all in advance for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers.”
Smith has also struggled with her mental health in the past and shared a crying selfie to Instagram.
“Some days look like this and it’s OK #mentalhealthawareness,” she wrote earlier this year.
Smith is known for being apart of the Selling Sunset cast and joined the hit show in season two as a real estate agent and interior designer.
