Selena Gomez didn’t take home a Golden Globe on Tuesday night, but she did have the most adorable date for the evening. On Jan. 10, the 30-year-old multihyphenate brought her little sister, 9-year-old Gracie Teefey, to the Globes as her date for the evening, which led to the sweetest red carpet moment when the “Only Murders in the Building” star called over her little sis to take photos with her.

In the video shared by the official Golden Globes Twitter account, Gomez looks over to see Teefey standing just off to the side while photographers are taking her photo, and she turns and waves her sister over. This leads to Teefey running into her big sister’s arms as they proceeded to take several snaps together.

Teefey and Gomez have been doing some serious sisterly bonding lately. On Jan. 6, the duo wore matching outfits in an Instagram photo as they prepared for a girls night out, and on Jan. 8, Teefey joined Gomez in celebrating her pal Nicola Peltz Beckham‘s birthday a day early.

When the Golden Globe nominations were first announced back in December, Gomez celebrated the nod on TikTok by sharing that she’d actually manifested it more than a decade ago. The Rare Beauty founder posted a clip of an interview with KTLA that took place on Feb. 15, 2011, in which Gomez discussed her award show dreams. When asked if winning a Grammy was an aspiration of hers, she replied, “I think that would be an honor, of course, but I’m more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl. That would be nice.” Gomez captioned her TikTok video, “Dreams do come true!! GUYS IM NOMINATED FOR A GOLDEN GLOBE. brb gonna scream.”

While she didn’t win this year, Gomez may have another shot at Golden Globes glory in 2024. Hulu renewed “Only Murders in the Building” for a third season in July 2022. As of now, a release date has not been announced, but the cast is quickly growing with the exciting new additions of Paul Rudd and Jesse Williams.
