Scary moment Sergio Aguero suffers heart scare during live stream and suddenly stops talking leaving celeb pal stunned

MANCHESTER CITY legend Sergio Aguero has suffered a heart scare during a live-streaming session with Spanish internet celebrity Ibai Llanos.

The ex-footballer, forced to retire from professional football in December 2021 aged just 33 due to a heart condition, suddenly stopped talking and brought his hand to his chest.

Ibai was filmed asking the Argentinian: “What’s the matter?” as Aguero fell into silence and hung his head.

The former footballer appeared to gasp momentarily for breath before replying in an obvious state of shock: “Ooohh. I think….I think that I just suffered a minor arrhythmia.”

He appeared to be checking a monitor on his mobile as he said the words.

Stunned Ibai replied, “Right now?” in an obvious state of concern as Aguero checked his pulse before assuring his pal: “No” as he confirmed while continuing to check his phone: “I have a chip and the famous chip is going to detect the situation.

“It would send a signal because perhaps it’s just something that’s in my head.”

At that point Aguero complained the battery on his phone was running out but added: “It was very strange” although he was not able to explain his feelings any further.

He went on to say: “I definitely felt something out of the normal circuit” but still managed to display a dark sense of humour by adding: “Imagine I end up dying,” prompting Ibai to reply: “Shall we finish off this live anyway?’ and bring a smile to his friend’s face.

The streaming session finished with a message which popped up in Spanish on screen saying: “They waited for a message from the doctor and the reply didn’t arrive before they finished their live streaming session.”

Referring to Aguero by his nickname of Kun as he is better known in Spain and South America, the message added: “Take care Kun, we love you.”

There was no immediate update on Aguero’s health situation today.

Aguero, who left Manchester City for Barcelona shortly before his heart issue showed up, called time on his glittering career when tests showed he had an irregular heartbeat after he was taken to hospital clutching his chest and complaining of breathing problems and dizziness during a game against Alves at the end of October 2021.

In February last year he was filmed lifting up his top to show fans his microchip implant – as he joked it was inserted by his girlfriend to track his movements.

He went on to liken himself to the American comic book superhero Iron Man and quipped: “At night I light up in colours” as he talked about the heart problems which sparked his early retirement from football.

The Argentinian said as he touched the left side of his chest through his T-shirt: “You know I have a microchip here, I’m going to show you.”

As he lifted his top to expose a small scar where the device was implanted during a cardiac catheterisation at a hospital in Barcelona following his last professional game, he added: “Here it is, see.

“This is the place where they made a little opening and put in the microchip.

“At night time I light up in colours. I’m Iron Man.

“It’s really good. I’ve got a microchip and I’m really posh. If my heart speeds up the doctor gets an alert, really posh.”

Raising his right hand and casting a quick glance away from the screen in the direction of his pretty girlfriend Sofia Calzetti, who was in the next room, he laughed: “I reckon Sophie put it in to see where I am.”

The retired footballer revealed his doctor was checking his heart was okay during Argentina’s crazy World Cup quarter-final win over Holland before the South American nation went on to win the final against France.

Argentina were 2-0 up with just ten minutes of normal time to go before Wout Weghorst, now with Manchester United, drew the Dutch level with two late goals.

The South Americans ended up taking the game 4-3 on a penalty shootout.

When asked by a fan how his heart was holding up, Aguero replied: “The doctor wrote to me several times, so imagine.”

Aguero has not yet referred to the heart scare on his social media.
