Samsung TV Plus hosts over 100 live channels, exclusive shows and thousands of hours of film and tv on demand.
This includes all series of American Idol, as well as Hell’s Kitchen and a raft of documentaries.
You can also watch news, sport and entertainment channels live at any time.
You can switch between Live and Discover modes to access everything from your favourite true crime drama to live reality shows.
The app is built into all Samsung TV models made after 2016 and can be downloaded on Galaxy phones and tablets with Android 8.0 or higher.
By being fully supported by ads, it remains completely free for all users.
The only cost in the UK is that of the licence fee, which is required to watch live programming.
This may differ for viewers in the other countries where the service is available, which include Austria, Spain, Norway and Ireland.
Outside of Europe, it reaches the USA, India and Australia too.
All you have to do is click the app’s icon on your tv home screen or download it onto your phone from the Galaxy or Google Play store.
There is no login, subscription or TV box required.
It comes after Samsung TV Plus announced the relaunch of the Comedy Hub channel, headlined by Emmy-winning sitcom Schitt’s Creek.
Other free, ad-supported streaming services are available for those who do not have a Samsung device, such as Amazon’s Freevee or Pluto TV.
