Danny Cipriani and his wife Victoria Rose have called time on their relationship.

The English rugby player, 36, confirmed the pair had split in a statement posted to his Instagram story on Tuesday morning.

“Victoria and I sat together this weekend and agreed to separate after four years of marriage,” he wrote.

“Whilst we’ve had some wonderful times together, we’ve also recognised we’re on different journeys and whilst this is sad news, it’s also a new chapter for us both to pursue our own happiness,” he continued.

“I only wish the best for Victoria and her children.”

The couple married in a surprise ceremony a year after they started dating and just four months after they announced their engagement.

Victoria Rose, 42, has two children from her previous relationship, Jade, 25, and Kameron, 14.

Following her estranged husband’s statement, Victoria has since released her own message to those followers.

“I’m not sure why Daniel needs to tell Instagram of his relationship status,” she wrote.

“I don’t wish for the invasion. Could I ask for some privacy while navigating this fragile time,” she added.

The rugby player previously announced they had married on Instagram back in 2021 after they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.

“Officially Mrs Cipriani @victoriarosecipriani – married my best friend today!!” he wrote.

“We are looking forward to our big day Caribbean style when travel is permitted.”

The rugby union star famously dated model Kelly Brook for two years in 2008 before moving on with Katie Price in 2011.

He later had a short relationship with Australia’s Lara Worthington and was with the late Love Island UK host, Caroline Flack.
