Aussie actress Ruby Rose has said she’s been inundated with death threats from rap fans after being mistakenly being drawn into a feud between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.
Ruby, 37, shared a statement on her Instagram story this week after some fans confused her for American rapper Rubi Rose Benton.
The Orange is the New Black star said she “never thought she’d see the day” she’d be involved in a rap feud.

“I have a ‘Y’ in my name, not an ‘I’. I never thought I’d see the day when I was being flooded with death threats for involvement in a rap beef,” Ruby wrote.
“I do not post about rappers on my Close Friends story. I assure you my Close Friends list is never used for anything but more dog photos. I don’t know much about the inner workings of the rap world, period.”
She added: ”You have the wrong person. I toured with Nicki for her whole Australian tour and I have never met Megan but she also seems great.”

Ruby also shared a message she received from a Nicki Minaj fan on Instagram, who wrote: “Don’t you dare come for Nicki again.”
“You say that you love her in interviews but drag her on your close friends story. You are a terrible actor and the MAKKS are coming for you.”
Rubi reportedly slammed Minaj on her private Instagram account – with a screenshot being leaked online.

Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion released hit single Hot Girl Summer in 2019, but have reportedly fallen out since.
According to People, some fans believe that Megan working with Cardi B on WAP led to their falling out.
On Friday, Megan released Hiss, and some fans believe she takes aim at Minaj with the track.
“These h–s don’t be mad at Megan, these h–s mad at Megan’s Law / I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start,” she raps, which some have taken to be a jab at Minaj.
In the U.S., Megan’s Law requires authorities to make information public about registered sex offenders. They must register with the state.
Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, is a registered sex offender who served four years in prison after being convicted of attempted rape in the first degree in 1995.
According to People, Minaj hit back after the diss track was released during an Instagram live.
Minaj reportedly played a song that referenced the time Megan was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez. He was found guilty and later sentenced to ten years in prison over the incident.
“Bad b–ch she like six foot / I call her Big Foot / The b–ch fell off / I said get up on your good foot,” Minaj raps in the unreleased track.
“Not three Grammys and can’t catch the beat!” she reportedly added, which appeared to be in reference to Megan’s three Grammys.
Megan reportedly told The Breakfast Club when asked about the rumoured feud: ”A hit dog will holler.”
