Ex-Crystal Palace boss Vieira said winning the Premier League title at Old Trafford in 2002 “made it even more special” – right in front of Keane.
Reminiscing on their famous rivalry, Vieira said on Sky: “Of course it can get really sweet, especially when you go to Old Trafford and win it over there. That made it even more special.”
Following the subtle dig, Keane glanced at Vieira and shook his head as he appeared speechless.
He then joked about Vieira: “He was really nice to me before he came on air, and then he starts!”
Keane went on to say the years he spent battling Vieira on the pitch were “great days” that he still misses.
He said: “It was brilliant, you really really miss it because it was aggressive, it was nasty, there was some top quality play [and] there was obviously pace to the game.
“And you knew every time you played Arsenal from United’s point of view that result was going to be so vital if you wanted to get your hands on the title, and honestly they were great days.”
And later on in the broadcast Keane threatened to reignite the rivalry by hilariously pretending to throw punches at a laughing Vieira.

As well as their numerous battles on the pitch, Keane and Vieira were infamously clashed in the tunnel before a 2005 meeting between Arsenal and United at Highbury.
However, their relationship these days is more different.
Last year Vieira even revealed the pair had been out together for ice cream since hanging up their boots.
