Both Arsenal and Manchester United felt the need to strengthen their goalkeeping position in the summer.
Erik ten Hag brought in Inter Milan’s Andre Onana for £43.8million but since his arrival, he has faced scrutiny from fans and pundits over his performance.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta recruited David Raya to rival long-time No1 Aaron Ramsdale which has divided many fans as to whether the Spaniard made the right call.
And on Gary Neville‘s podcast Stick To Football by SkyBet co-hosted with Keane and Carragher, the pair revealed the two keepers have been the league’s biggest disappointment this season.
United legend Keane said the Cameroonian shot-stopper has been “struggling” to fill in the gloves David de Gea left behind.
He said: “The biggest disappointment has to be Andre Onana.
“I think Manchester United were right to get rid of David de Gea, but for the club to have brought someone else in and for him to be struggling.”
Last term’s Golden Glove winner De Gea was let go as a free agent after 12 years at Old Trafford.

But his replacement Onana had a shaky start to the term conceding ten goals in his first five games.
And pal Carragher agreed but added that Arsenal loanee David Raya has been “quite poor”.
He said: “The biggest disappointments in the Premier League so far this season would be the two goalkeepers at Manchester United and Arsenal – Andre Onana and David Raya.
“They’ve been quite poor after coming in as ‘improvements’ from the previous keepers, and it’s almost stayed the same or even gone backwards with them coming in.”
Fans are yet to be convinced if Raya is a better goalie than Ramsdale who has been sidelined for most of the term.
And his performance on Tuesday night against Luton did not persuade fans that he should have the No1 spot after his two howlers led the first-time Premier League contenders to score.
But thanks to Declan Rice‘s last-minute winner the Gunners managed to scrape a 4-3 victory.
