Mr Bean star Atkinson is renowned for his love of fast cars.
Indeed he famously owned, and crashed, a McLaren F1 that was capable of topping 240mph.
His Lexus LFA may be tame by comparison, but it’s still a beast in its own right, with a top speed of 201mph.
That is down to the fact that it uses naturally aspirated V10 similar to that used by Toyota’s motorsport team.
The pearl white body is made out of lightweight carbon fibre to aid handling and improve the power even further.
Inside, the trim is a mixture of vibrant blue and red, while the setting are all controlled by a seven inch display screen on the central console.
This LFA was one of just 198 ever produced in right-hand drive and comes with a full history file, including service information from its time under Atkinson’s ownership.
The listing on PistonHeads auction site reads: “This stunning LFA was first delivered to Japan on 08/2012 as 1 of just 198 RHD cars produced.
“Delivered as a Japanese model it spent the majority of its life there with its history pack documenting 6 service entries until it’s Import into the UK in 2022.”
Amazingly, it has just 3,000 miles on it despite being in use for over a decade.
That may go some way to explaining the £874,000 asking price.
Commenters seemed to think it was more than worth it though.
One wrote: “Personally, I think that you would have to be quite mad to sell that.”
Another added: “One of the best sounding automotive engines that ever existed.”
And third waxed lyrical about how the car “rewrote the rule book” for the luxury market.
It comes after a Ford Mondeo that featured in an iconic Top Gear episode went under the hammer for a bargain price.
