Romeo Lavia ‘suffers injury in Chelsea training’ in huge blow with £58m midfielder yet to play a match

ROMEO LAVIA has reportedly suffered an injury in training – before even playing for Chelsea.

The new Blues midfielder joined the club from Southampton for £58million this summer after they hijacked his transfer to Liverpool.

But he is yet to step on to the field for his new side.

And now the Belgian star could spend a period on the sidelines.

That is because he has allegedly damaged his ankle.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims he hurt himself during a session at Cobham this morning.

Other reports suggested Lavia was forced to quit training and return inside to be treated.

And there are fears he could have torn a muscle in the joint.
