Imagine working at Bunnings and none other than Rod Stewart walks through the door.
Well, that’s exactly what happened to staff at a store in the Sydney suburb of Balgowlah.
The 78-year-old music icon was spotted surprising some of the hardware store’s workers earlier this week, dressed in all white (and clearly not trying hard to blend in).
One tweet suggested he was “somewhat disappointed” to learn Bunnings only served snags in bread on the weekend.

The photo, originally posted by Manly Observer (@ManlyObserver), has received plenty of attention on Twitter.
One person commented, “Road crew sent him out to pick up some gaffer tape apparently,” with a wink face emoji.
Another Twitter user revealed this wasn’t his first local sighting of late, writing, “He was spotted all the way out in Pendle Hill the other day. Apparently he’s a bit of a train model enthusiast and popped into the store.”
In a post shared on Facebook, Stewart was seen visiting Woodpecker Model Railways, a family-run shop in New South Wales.

In an interview with 3AW the singer admitted her enjoys Bunnings.
”I love Bunnings,” he said. “I found this particular angled wood that you can’t get in England so I’m trying to get it to England, but we haven’t found our way to do it yet.”

The singer recently wrapped up his Australian Tour after he postponed its dates last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stewart has spent the last couple of weeks performing across the country and heads to New Zealand for his next show in Dunedin on April 5, with special guest Cyndi Lauper.
It seems the Maggie May singer isn’t the only celeb that loves Bunnings, either.
Recently, Harry Styles wore a Bunnings hat on stage during his Australia tour, while Ryan Gosling and Sydney Sweeney have both been shielded by Bunnings umbrellas while filming in Sydney.
