Ring Magazine top 10 heavyweight boxers revealed as fans fume Deontay Wilder ‘should disappear’ from list

BOXING fans have been left fuming after Deontay Wilder was included in the latest Ring Magazine top ten heavyweights list.

The American was defeated on points by Joseph Parker following an insipid display in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.

He was previously beaten twice by Tyson Fury before bouncing back with a knock-out win over Robert Helenius – but he has now lost three of his last four.

And fans feel he has lost his spark, despite Ring Magazine placing him ninth in their latest rankings.

Oleksandr Usyk is listed as champion ahead of Tyson Fury, who he will take on in an undisputed fight on February 17.

Anthony Joshua, Zhilei Zhang and Parker are second, third and fourth respectively.

Joshua has jumped above Wilder in the rankings following his comprehensive takedown of Otto Wallin on Saturday.

AJ stopped the Swede in the fifth round and had hoped to take on Wilder next, but the Bronze Bomber’s defeat means he could face Filip Hrgovic instead.

The Croatian is the fifth-ranked Ring Magazine heavyweight and promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted at a potential duel.

The rest of the top ten is made up of Frank Sanchez, Jared Anderson, Joey Joyce and Agit Kabayel, but some fans think Wilder is fortunate to make the list.

One said: “Wilder should disappear from the list.”
