THE race for Alfredo Morelos’ signature continues to heat up with the striker coming to the end of his Rangers contract.
The Colombian striker, whose current deal is set to expire in the summer, has been heavily linked with a move away from Glasgow after failing to agree a new contract with the club as of yet.

Spanish giants Sevilla were said to be interested in landing the 26-year-old and reports from Spain suggested they had agreed a pre-contract agreement with the player.
Rangers boss Michael Beale quickly shut down those claims though and insisted no deal had been arranged or confirmed.
The Light Blues gaffer has been vocal on Morelos’ situation at the club and has revealed he will only consider offering him an extended stay if he proves his worth in the coming weeks.
But it looks increasingly likely that the striker is on his way out of the Scottish Premiership given the fact there’s been no concrete discussions as of yet.
And his next destination has potentially been revealed as Turkish Super Lig leaders Galatasaray are reportedly interested in landing the striker on a free.
Turkish outlet Takvim claim the club have “pressed the button” over a potential deal after contacting Morelos’ agent.
The report suggests Galatasaray and Morelos’ representatives will meet again in the next few weeks to discuss contract details further too.
The Turkish giants have went through a bit of a resurgence this season as they’re top of the league table following a horrendous run last year, where they finished 13th.
European football is back on the cards for them next season as they will automatically qualify for the Champions League if they continue their form and lift the title.
Galatasaray have been interested in signing Morelos in the past and they were touted with a move for the striker as far back as 2019.
But the Super Lig side could finally get the man they’ve wanted for a long time this summer – and they will land the forward for nothing if they do indeed win the race for him.
