A RACING punter has absolutely rinsed William Hill after a tiny £6 bet secured a massive payout.
Hills called it ‘one of the best bets we have seen this year’ – and it landed thanks in part to a freak 100-1 winner.
The ‘stunning’ Lucky 15 returned a colossal £30,000 after the four selections all came in at Bath, Southwell and Lingfield.
And incredibly, only one of them was backed by other punters before the off.
That was the first leg, where punter favourite Brian The Snail was backed into 11-2.
The punter, who has not been named, backed the horse at 16-1 and watched as the nine-year-old gelding’s price tumbled before the 1.10 at Bath on Wednesday.
He won by just under two lengths under jockey Tom Queally and then it was onto Southwell 20 minutes later where The Pug won at 15-2.
Two from two and looking good – but it was the next that truly lifted the bet into the stratosphere.
Hold The Press was a shock 100-1 winner of the Class 6 7f contest at Lingfield for trainer John Jenkins.

Ironically he only got a little over £3,000 for the win and admitted afterwards that he doesn’t bet.
Jenkins said: “I was very surprised he went out and won.
“I don’t back horses and I’ll let others do that and see if they managed to get on!”
Fortunately the Hills punter had and then it was Rainyniteingeorgia who landed the outlandish punt just over an hour later at 16-1.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “A Lucky 15 bet can provide huge payouts and this punter has certainly achieved that with one of the best horse racing bets we’ve seen this year.
“This is one that would still have been scarcely believable after two winners, with a 100-1 selection still to go.
“Wednesday’s 3.05 race at Lingfield must have made for nail-biting viewing, but with Rainyniteingeorgia sticking her neck out on the line came a cool £30,000 reward for one lucky punter.
“Make no mistake, this was an outstanding result from just a £6 total stake at the beginning of the day.”
