Priscilla Presley denies ‘feud’ with Riley Keough over Lisa Marie Presley’s trust days before first court hearing

Priscilla Presley and granddaughter Riley Keough have apparently checked out of Heartbreak Hotel.

Days before the duo are set to face off in court over control of Lisa Marie Presley’s trust, Priscilla, 77, reportedly told an audience during a UK stop on her tour that Riley, 33, is “great” and the two of them are not fighting over money.

According to the Mirror, Priscilla said during her Evening with Priscilla Presley event at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle upon Tyne that reports of a feud between Riley, Priscilla, and Lisa Marie’s other daughters, 14-year-old twins Finley and Harper Lockwood, had come from “out of Memphis” but are “not true”.

“We are just fine,” Priscilla said on-stage to BBC Radio One DJ and television presenter Edith Bowman, who hosted the event.

Priscilla’s comments come after her son – Lisa Marie’s 36-year-old half-brother Navarone Garibaldi – nixed the feud rumours on Instagram.

“Yes they are fine. No feud,” Garibaldi said when asked if his mother and Riley were on speaking terms.

He added: “We did go to dinner, it went great, it’s all good.”

Lisa Marie died aged 54 on January 12 hours after suffering a cardiac arrest.

On January 26, Priscilla filed a petition in a Los Angeles court questioning the “authenticity and validity” of Lisa Marie’s will, which was amended in 2016 to place Riley and her late brother, Benjamin Keough, as co-trustees of her multi-million-dollar trust.

After Benjamin’s death aged 27 in 2020, Riley became the sole trustee.

Since Priscilla’s filing, many reports have circulated that she and her granddaughter are no longer on speaking terms, and some have claimed Riley is “seeing a new side” of Priscilla in the wake of her mother’s death.

One report alleged Riley had changed the locks of Elvis Presley‘s Memphis estate Graceland – which is at the centre of Lisa Marie’s trust – and had kicked Priscilla out, which Graceland denied.

Priscilla and Riley are set to face off in a Los Angeles court over the matter for the first time on April 13. Read more about the legal battle here.
