Price is Right host Bob Barker’s cause of death revealed

A week after Bob Barker’s death, the Price Is Right host’s cause of death has been revealed.

According to his death certificate allegedly obtained by TMZ, the star died as a result of a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

The 99-year-old had never publicly addressed this battle.

His death was confirmed by his publicist, Roger Neal.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker, has left us,” Neal said in the statement.

A spokesperson for CBS added that “Bob will be remembered as a dedicated animal rights activist.”

“Daytime television has lost one of its most iconic stars,” they said in a statement.

Nancy Burnet, Barker’s companion who has taken care of him and is the co-executor of his estate, also shared a statement.

“I am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally. We were great friends over these 40 years. He will be missed.”

Barker is survived by his half-brother Kent Valandra, nephews Robert Valandra and Chip Valandra, and niece niece Vickie Valandra Kelly.
