A POPULAR bakery chain has announced plans for a 24-hour drive-thru service.
Greggs today said it was looking at trialling the service so fans will be able to grab a bite regardless of the time of day.

It comes after it announced plans to open around 150 stores this year.
Greggs boss Roisin Currie said the chain has not yet decided where the trial will take place.
There are currently 17 drive-thru locations across the country and it’s planning to open a further eight to 10 of them this year.
She said: “We like drive-thrus because they can serve the click and collect customers and people wanting to sit in too.
“They do take a little bit longer to build because you need planning and to build from scratch.”
Greggs first opened a driver-thru in 2017 in Salford, Manchester.
Customers can pick up the usual sausage rolls, doughnuts and more from the comfort of their car.

Drive-thrus usually open around 6am and close around 9-10pm.
But exact opening times can vary, depending on the location.
Greggs has already extended opening hours for around 500 shops to 8pm or later
The bakery is targeting evening diners and is serving up hot food like pizzas and chicken goujons.
We’ve asked Greggs if any of its other stores are open 24 hours and will update when we hear back.
Greggs launched a bid for its Leicester Square branch to open 24 hours but Westminster Council rejected the application.
Usually, companies have to apply for permission from the local council to open a 24-hour restaurant.
Greggs currently operates nearly 2,330 shops but said it wants to increase this number to more than 3,000.
It comes after Greggs axed hot cross buns from its menus before Easter.
And in January, the chain caused fury when it hiked the price of its iconic sausage roll from £1.15 to £1.20.
