Pep Guardiola‘s side dominated the clash against Madrid from start to finish, coming away with a 4-0 scoreline to confirm a 5-1 aggregate win over the serial Champions League winners.
And upon seeing the performance fans took to Twitter to beg for “mercy”.
One user said: “We’re going to be 3-0 down inside 10 minutes in the FA Cup final.”
A second joked: “Man United getting pumped 10-0 in the Fa Cup final to this Man City side.”
A third remarked: “This City team is scary lmaoo. Going to be a long day for United in the FA Cup final.”
A fourth said: “If City play like this vs UNITED in the FA Cup final, it will be a cricket score – especially given the technical quality we have on the ball and the amazing shot-stopper we have.
“Naaah man, lord have mercy.”
Another added: “This is the City team United want to contest against in the FA Cup final? Lmao.”

Some even went as far as to plead for the final to be cancelled, with one user saying: “Cancel the FA cup final or something, we stand no chance at all.”
A second said: “Can we cancel the FA Cup final. I don’t think Manchester United is ready for this City team.”
A third suggested: “I’m not trying to be negative or what but looking at the current City form right now, man they are going to eat us alive.
“Can we just cancel the FA cup final and announce the finalists as the joint winner of the tournament?”
However, despite the odds seemingly being stacked against them, some Red Devils fans remained optimistic.
One said: “If you think Manchester United will beat Man City in the FA Cup Final, then you are right.”
A second added: “Manchester United will beat city in the FA final.”
The final will likely come with Man City’s ability to match United’s 1999 treble on the line.
City can wrap up the Premier League title this weekend after overtaking Arsenal, while many would name them favourites going into the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
And fans are not ignorant about the weight of the fixture.
One remarked: “City v United FA final with legacy on the line. It doesn’t get bigger than that man.”
“So United have to be the ones to beat City to keep their Treble legacy alive….” commented another.
Regardless, United and City are 1-1 in matches this season, with both looking to earn bragging rights over the other.
