While most guests know to avoid expensive mini-bar prices these days, hotel fridges come in handy with holidaymakers looking to save money by storing supermarket food and drink.

In recent years, “relaxing” and “satisfying” videos have emerged on social media platforms of holidaymakers stocking their hotel fridges.
Earlier this year, TikTok user scyesthelimit posted a two-minute video unloading her haul into the appliance.
In the footage, which has been sped up, she started by cleaning the fridge with several wet wipes.
Then, she placed items like strawberries, yoghurts, bottles of water, muffins, eggs, and bread into the fridge.
While most holidaymakers only use their hotel fridge to keep their drinks cool, others use it religiously to help save cash on meals out.
TikTok user Paulina, who is known as paulinaaisabelle on the social media platform, also posted a video stocking her fridge.
In the video, she revealed that she brought her own small plastic trays to help keep her fridge neat and tidy.
In the compartments, she placed yoghurts, juices, cheese, and smoothies.
The video has had more than 13,000 views with several users wondering why she needed so much food during a hotel stay.
In the comments, she explained that she was attending a four-day workshop, and needed to provide her own breakfast and lunch.
Some users were impressed with her organisational skills, one wrote: “I find it so funny that you brought organisers with you.”
Another added: “I love these videos, they’re so relaxing and satisfying.”
But not everyone seemed sold on the idea, one user commented used a series of laughing emojis to make fun of the video.
While some holidaymakers can’t get enough of their hotel fridge, other guests simply can’t stand the noise.

One man recently revealed how to properly shut off the fridge without causing any damage to the room.
And the noise isn’t the only feature putting people off hotel fridges – recently, a hotel guest was charged £41 simply for opening one in their room.
A notice left in the room said that the person would have to pay the fee if they wanted to add their own items to the fridge during their stay.
It read: “The refreshment centre is on a sensor. Use of the refreshment centre for personal storage will automatically incur a $50 (£41) charge.”
