People are just realising WhatsApp has a hidden contact that’s super helpful – billions urged to find it today

EVER find yourself needing to keep a note of something important but not sure where to put it?

Maybe it’s a confirmation code for a shopping order or a reference number.

Ability to message yourself on WhatsApp is pretty handy

You’re not alone if you’re one of those people who send it to a lover or close friend so you can copy it across later.

This is especially the case if you intend to copy it on WhatsApp Web instantly.

But few realise you don’t actually need to bother them with your random info.

There’s a special hidden contact in everyone’s WhatsApp that will take it down for you and won’t complain.

That contact is… yourself.

Yes, not everyone is aware that you can actually message yourself on WhatsApp.

Meta introduced the feature in November last year.

All you need to do is search your name you’ll come up as a contact.

You’ll know it’s the right one because it says “(You)” at the end.

Another use for this is if there are messages from people you wish to keep.

Maybe it’s a precious memory from a family member who’s passed away.

Or it could be important details you need to remember.

To do this, just forward the message to yourself like you would any other contact.
