The frequent flyer shared snaps of her and a companion perusing the in-flight film selection together, settling on the 2022 action-adventure comedy The Lost City.
They simultaneously pressed a button to start the film, which stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.
Charlotte said: “Instant red flag if you don’t do this with the person you’re travelling with. I don’t make the travel rules.”
People were divided over the merits of watching the same film as your flight companion.
Nicky said: “My son watched The Grinch for 13 hours straight, so no thanks.”
Jamie said: “My screen is always going to be the in-flight tracker.”

Alex said: “I couldn’t handle them being slightly out of sync.”
Others offered a solution to the distracting discordance between the two screens.
Samantha said: “Just for next time, Emirates has a feature where you can share your screen with the person next to you – so it won’t be out of sync.”
Charlotte took the backlash in good grace, saying: “I had no idea. That sounded sarcastic, it wasn’t – I literally didn’t know.”
