A picture featuring two Bluey books went viral at a bargains Facebook page.

The post, by Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, read: “Ladybird Bluey books 99p at ALDI…”

That was enough to send customers crazy, as the post amassed dozens of likes, shares and posts.

Earlier this year, ALDI rolled out a massive wave of discounts on its garden items.

The Gardenline Gas Pizza Oven was reduced from £199.99 to £79.99 in a superb 60% price drop.

You can’t fault Aldi for its timing: now the weather’s improved and summertime is just around the corner, people are venturing into their gardens again.

There’s an array of garden items included in the sale, including hanging chairs, parasol heaters, barbecues, firepits and hot tubs.

But don’t go dashing into your nearest store: these deals are exclusively online – head to the retailer’s garden Specialbuys page to see what’s on offer.

Competitor ASDA also had its fair share of bargains as shoppers rushed to buy the famous egg chair that is on sale for £189 off.

One shopper managed to blag the famous Novaro egg chair for a huge £189 less than its original price.

It had been priced at £249 but the lucky shopper managed to get it for just £60.

Posting in Facebook’s Extreme Couponing & Bargains group, she said: “Bargain of the year!!

ASDA Greatbridge selling quite a few bits of garden furniture off!

“Saw fire pits for £14 too, not sure the prices of anything else was too busy claiming this.”

And shoppers took to the comments to share their excitement.

One wrote: “No way.”

While another said: “Ahh that’s good value!”

The egg chair is always an anticipated item ahead of summer, with many shoppers rushing to get their hands on one that’s going for a decent price.

At the time of writing, we couldn’t see the chair going for £60 on the Asda website.

It was still on sale, but for £149, nearly £90 more.
