Santo, 49, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at the City Ground.
He will take charge of his first game on Saturday as Forest face Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Santo posed for media pictures after his appointment with fans all left saying the same thing.
In the snaps, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves boss looked stony-faced despite landing a new job.
One fan commented: “Looks thrilled.”
A second wrote: “Looks buzzing.”
A third posted: “The lack of Aura in this photo.”
Another joked: “Mr Marinakis, you must have misheard us – we said we wanted to see SANTA make an appearance at the City Ground this Saturday.”

During his time as Wolves boss, he helped the club seal promotion to the Premier League in 2018 with a 1st place finish in the Championship.
