Nottingham Forest ‘banish club captain Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna from training with pair set for January transfers’

NOTTINGHAM FOREST stars Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna have reportedly been banished from training.

The defenders are believed to have been told to train on different pitches from the remainder of the first team.

The Daily Mail have claimed that they have been instructed to arrive for training at a different time from their team-mates.

The report has suggested that Worrall and McKenna have been “banished” from the first team.

However, it has insisted that the decision is not related to any behavioural issues or rows.

They were both left out of the matchday squad that was thumped 5-0 by Fulham on Wednesday night.

Manager Steve Cooper opted for a defensive partnership of Murillo and Felipe, with the latter wearing the armband at Craven Cottage.

Both Worrall and McKenna were key players in Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League in 2022.

This season they have dropped out of favour as they have made 11 appearances between them in the league.

With their reported banishment from training then in January, they could look for an exit from the City Ground.

Worrall has left Forest once before as he spent a year away on loan at Rangers.

The defeat to Fulham has seen Forest drop to 16th in the league, despite their promising start to the season.

Owner Evangelos Marinakis is believed to have stormed out of the game early, and even thrown his ticket into a bush.
