CONOR McGREGOR hilariously praised old rival Nate Diaz for slapping an associate of his training partner Dillon Danis.
Diaz got into an altercation with Danis and his entourage outside of New York’s Madison Square Garden, where UFC 281 was held.

An argument broke out and McGregor’s manager Audi Attar, who also looks after Danis, attempted to de-escalate the situation.
But Diaz, 37, ended up slapping a member of Danis’ crew square in the face.
And it shockingly won the praise of McGregor, 34, who posted in a now-deleted tweet: “Haha nice shot.”
Danis, 29, was brought in as McGregor’s jiu jitsu sparring partner in 2016 after the Irishman was beaten by Diaz.

And it set McGregor up to win their thrilling rematch five months later.
Danis has since feuded with a host of the former UFC champion’s rivals, including Khabib Nurmagomedov, 34.
So it was no surprise a scuffle broke out before Israel Adesanya’s middleweight title loss to Alex Pereira.

“The thing was that, this event has been sold out for a while and Nate called last night wanting six tickets.
“We didn’t have six tickets to give him, so he ended up figuring it out and got some seats. I went over and talked to him tonight, it’s all good.
“Every time they show up I expect something to happen, not much bothers me anymore at this point.”
