Newcastle 4 Chelsea 1: Reece James sees red as hot-headed Blues fall to heavy defeat against rampant Toon

Eddie Howe’s injury riddled squad took an early lead when Alexander Isak scored the opener thanks to an assist from 17-year-old Lewis Miley.

But Raheem Sterling’s stunning free-kick levelled thing going into the break.

However Chelsea couldn’t help but leak at the back when Jamaal Lascelles and Joelinton secured three points for the Toon Army with their back-to-back goals.

Joelinton’s first Premier League goal of the season came thanks to his fellow countryman Thiago Silva who gifted him the opportunity to make the score 3-1.

Matters only got worse for Mauricio Pochettino’s men when Reece James was sent off for two yellow cards before a complete capitulation saw Anthony Gordon add a fourth goal for Newcastle.
