The holiday resort will be heavily focused on the Celtic mythology of the region, and according to local media has been dubbed a “digital theme park” by developers.
Just 20 minutes from Edinburgh, guests will be able to create characters as part of the AR experience Legends, while taking part in missions and storylines.
This includes exploring the natural landscape while speaking with talking trees, fairies and dwarves.
The website states: “Each character has their own story to tell, and tasks for you to complete as you explore the vast terrain of Mythtopia.
“With each task you complete, you’ll advance the story and unlock new challenges.
“You’ll discover hidden secrets and hidden places, and interact with mythical creatures that come to life through augmented reality.”
Along with the gaming experience, there will also be 150 glamping pods where guests can stay up to three nights a year.
Other on-site activities include yoga, horse-riding silent discos and wild swimming, as well as stargazing.
A spa, restaurant and bar will also be part of the resort.
To be able to stay, you will have to be an NFT holder, the first in the UK.
Anyone who is can stay up to three nights as well as take three guests with them.
Mythopia founder Oliver Pyle-Santini said, “nothing has been ever done like it before”.
He added: “Through Mythtopia, we are aiming to create a Scottish getaway with a difference in this new digital landscape, as well as an amazing experience to help unite families, teenagers, and adults alike.”
He also said their reforestation project will plant up to 120,000 trees nearby, as well as create their own Mythopia cryptocurrency.
The resort hopes to open by spring 2024.
If you can’t wait until then, a fairytale-themed adventure park opened in Oxfordshire earlier this year.
