The veteran boss has already put the feelers out for potential moves.

But he is under no pressure as he is still being paid by the Terriers for the rest of the season.

The agreement is that Warnock can take another post without that impacting his cash from Huddersfield on the remainder of his contract.

The 74-year-old is also planning to catch up on some speaking engagements that he cancelled when he was unwell.

The Sheffield born tactician was given his “perfect” send off on Wednesday after Huddersfield’s Championship clash with Stoke as he admitted “I’ve never felt better”.

The veteran boss dismissed rumours of his exit coming as a result of a falling out with American owner Kevin Nagle.

Warnock was re-appointed as Huddersfield‘s manager in February as the club looked to avoid relegation.

The ex-Crystal Palace boss managed to keep the team in the Championship and was awarded a one-year contract extension as a result, but that has since been mutually terminated.

Darren Moore has been appointed as Warnock’s replacement at John Smith’s Stadium.

Moore had been out of a job since he left Sheffield Wednesday in June.

The 49-year-old head coach led the Owls back to the Championship in May.

That was after a 1-0 win over Barnsley in the League One Play-Off final at Wembley.
