My husband insists on wearing weird socks when we fly…they give me the ick but not everyone agrees

A WOMAN was horrified when her husband expressed his need to wear bizarre socks while travelling.

Kristy Sarah shared how she got the ultimate “ick” from her spouse in a video posted on TikTok.

The video plays dramatic music before it pans down to reveal her partner going through airport security wearing some unsightly socks.

At a first glance the black socks appear to be ordinary, but as the camera approaches it reveals something monstrous.

To Kristy’s horror the socks have a separate section to accommodate each individual toe.

Kristy captioned the video “I think my husband just gave me the ick” and said: “But why does he need each one to have it’s own individual freedom”.

The clip has the internet in a frenzy with 250,000 likes and more than 1,000 comments.

One viewer could relate to the predicament, “this is something my husband would wear” she said.

But a second was just as outraged as Kristy and wrote: “I could never”.

A third Tiktokker was even envious of the segmented socks and wrote “Dude these would be amazing”.

It is unclear why the lad opted for this choice of sock, but according to Creepers Socks they can “optimize natural function, prevent skin-on-skin rubbing and improve breathability.”

The dreaded “ick” is a relatively new phrase that has swept the internet, and this poor fella is only the latest to be caught out by the trend.

The word means any character trait which instantly flips a feeling of attraction into a feeling of disgust.

Earlier this year, a woman was praised online for exposing a relatable list of everyday things her boyfriend does that gives her the ick.

Mum-to-be Charlotte Riley revealed which of her man’s habits she finds the most annoying and thousands of TikTokers flooded the comments in support.

Last year, a woman went on holiday with a guy from Instagram as her first date and lived to regret it.

Paige Allan, from Edinburgh flew to Portugal and immediately realised that the man wasn’t her type and she had developed the “ick”.
