A DRIVER claims that an entitled neighbour parks all the cars from his limo business in the street, so he can’t even access his own driveway.
The anonymous Reddit user took to social media to vent his frustration – and to seek advice from other users on the platform.
A driver claims that their entitled neighbour owns a limo company and dumps all his cars in the streetReddit @u/LOLCRAFFT_2
Reddit user @u/LOLCRAFFT_2 uploaded a picture that shows a Hummer limo parked in front of their dad’s car, blocking the way.
The Reddit user claims that when their neighbour runs out of space on the street, he often parks the eight cars wherever he wants.
To make things worse, when the poster was taking the photo, he caught his next-door neighbour sitting in the car.
He continued: “My dad hasn’t done anything either. I presume he’s good friends with them and not the usual neighbour thing.
“He’s (dad) allowed them to park their Range Rover in front of our house like that for a long time and doesn’t say anything even thought they aren’t allowed by law, I think.”
“I would love to slash all their tires on their eight cars, but that isn’t gonna be alright when my future college sees that on my record if I get caught.”
But if someone is blocking your drive, it is not technically illegal, although it might feel like it should be.
If their wheel is over the dropped kerb, they are committing a parking offence., :K
There are two types of dropped kerbs: those for pedestrians, especially those with buggies or wheelchairs, and those for drivers to access driveways.
Vehicles parked across dropped kerbs can be ticketed, even if they’re not fully blocking it.
The post was published one year ago – and users were quick to provide advice to the poster.
One said: “Do they park on your Dad’s property? If so, I would advise calling a tow truck and having the trespassing vehicle removed. Slashing three tires is optional.”
Another said: “Never slash all four tires. Only do 3. Insurance will pay for 4, not 3. LPT.”
A third pointed out: “I would knock loudly on the window and then make a hand motion indicating to stop leaning on my car.”
This comes after an incredible video revealed the moment a woman had the last laugh at her selfish neighbour.
Plus, a woman claimed her neighbour was furious after she parked her car on her drive – even though there was no space for three motors.
