A MUM was left fighting for her life after a £7k so called ‘mummy makeover’ went horribly wrong.
Danielle Hunt, 35, from Manchester, travelled to Istanbul, Turkey, in October 2022 to have breast implant replacements, a tummy tuck and liposuction.

But the surgery left her in “dire pain” with gaping wounds in her flesh that would constantly become infected with oozing green pus.
The mum-of-one first reached out to the surgeon on WhatsApp after being shown his Instagram page by a friend.
She claimed a receptionist asked her to send photos before they agreed to carry out the procedure.
But there was no consultation, and she never asked about her health or medical history, which is something doctors in the UK would be expected to do before a surgery.
The aesthetics practitioner, who also runs a beauty business in Prestatyn, north Wales, flew out to Turkey and waited for a driver to pick her up from the airport as promised.
After multiple phone calls, a driver finally arrived an hour later after going to the wrong airport, she told Manchester Evening News.
Once at her hotel, Danielle had a pre-consultation appointment at the clinic.
While there, medics got her results mixed up with another woman called Danielle, who had booked the same procedures.
The following day, the mum was due to undergo three surgeries.
Before going under the knife, Danielle claims she signed a 10-page consultation form that she had to sign within five minutes, or she would lose her surgery slot.
She signed the document without reading it properly as she felt panicked.
The mum asked the medics to let her know when they were about to put her to sleep, which she claims they failed to do.
Danielle woke up from the procedure in extreme agony.
They discharged her the next day with only paracetamol as pain relief.
While in her hotel, Danielle rang the hospital and told them she was in “dire pain”.
“I was crying asking them if I could go back, I didn’t mind having to pay,” she said.
Because of her discomfort, she flew back to Manchester a day early.
The mum was met by her partner at the airport, who had to put her into a wheelchair as she struggled to walk.
It would take her eight more weeks to be able to walk properly and recover from her tummy tuck and liposuction, but her breast wounds were still causing her agony.
Concerned, she visited Royal Bolton Hospital, where she claims a surgeon told her said her bruising was the worst he had seen in his entire career.
Despite visiting a breast clinic three times a week, Danielle’s wounds would not heal and constantly became infected with oozing green pus.
On New Year’s Eve, things took a turn for the worse and she developed sepsis,a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body overreacts to an infection and starts attacking its tissues and organs.
She was rushed to hospital, where she had the breast implants removed.
The mum was left in so much pain she was out of work for three months and struggled to care for her seven-year-old non-verbal autistic daughter, Minnie Rose.
“I was having nightmares and waking up dripping in sweat,” she explained.
She tried to find a surgeon to perform reconstructive surgery on the parts of her body that needed it, but three medics said no because of how the Turkish surgeon had botched the operation.
This left the mum feeling very insecure about how she looked.
“I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror,” she said.
The whole ordeal took such an emotional toll on Danielle that she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) three months after her procedures.
She eventually found a doctor up for the task – she had to fork out a further £6,500 for the procedure.
Now, trying to rebuild her life, the mum has warned people against getting surgery abroad.
She said: “My little girl was nearly left without a mum.
“Turkey surgery is cheap, but you cannot put a price on your life.”
