In a post on Mumsnet, she shared her unspoiled Greek island recommendation.

She wrote: “Katelios is a small fishing village, with a string of tavernas, and a handful of shops, along the beach.

“Although it’s a popular resort, it’s quiet because there are no stag/hen parties or discos.”

And another mum agreed, she added: “I loved Kefalonia too, it was so unspoiled when I last went.”

The small village can be found on Kefalonia – a Greek island in the Ionian Sea.

While Kefalonia is popular among Brit holidaymakers, the small village of Katelios remains largely undiscovered.

Because the resort area is one of the calmest on the island, it’s an ideal place to spend the week relaxing on the island.

Free sunloungers are dotted along the beach as well as a series of tavernas.

Recently, holidaymakers have taken to TripAdvisor to rave about the little-known village.

One person wrote: “What a lovely clean beautiful beach with free sunbeds outside most of the restaurants.”

Another added: “What a gem, a beautiful quirky beach with lovely restaurants.”

A third said: “An amazing holiday experience, very peaceful and relaxing.”

EasyJet operates direct flights from London Gatwick to Argostoli Kefalonia Airport, with prices starting at £40.

From there, holidaymakers will need to drive around 30 minutes to reach the small fishing village.

As well as spending an afternoon at the beach, other activities include kayaking and swimming with sea turtles.

Meanwhile, one UK seaside town has been compared to Greece.

Dartmouth in Devon has been put forward as a possible substitute thanks to its clear waters, great seafood, and colourful buildings.
